Spending the night in FLL before jumping on a cruise. Chipotle was just down the street from our hotel. The menu is simple and to the point. Choose your style, choose your meat and load up on the toppings. The freshness of the ingredients is the key. DW and I both went with a buritto, she went with pollo, I went with steak. The mild salsa, which is more like a pico de gallo was excellent as was the guac, which is worth the extra charge. I'm writing this four hours later and I am still stuffed. Dd had some chicken tacos but she thought they were too spicy, i helped her finish those off as well which probably didn't help my bloated belly much but didn't want to leave good grub behind. Would definitely go here again. He'll if I get hungry later I might be going back!

I lived off of this place for almost a month while in Florida for training. Chipotle is always fresh, made to order and has some of the best Carnitas around! It doesn't matter which one you go to they are all amazing. I'll eat here next time Im I'm Florida for training!

I'm a picky mexican food eater, so this isn't authetic to my standards BUT its fresh, delicious and tasty. I love that they dont have too many items on their menu, you see their ingredients and everything is good. I usually have the carnitas fajitas burrito with hot sauce. And this location is always packed because its strategically placed near various hotels.

I really wanted to like this place but it just didn't do it for me. Visited my first Chipotle in 2002 and I remember being unimpressed. Fast forward to 7 years later and I'm still quite unimpressed. I only went there because my friends have been raving about how great Chipotle is. Well, I went to try it out and I paid close $10 for a burrito. Is it a sign of the times we're in that a fast food joint can get away with charging $10 for a burrito? That's just crazy talk as far as I'm concerned. A few things to note...they charge for everything. I don't know if it's a growing pains thing but if you're going to ask me if I want something on my burrito and it's an upcharge then at least let me know. Case in point...I was charged $1.80 extra for Guacamole which was delish by the way and then another $1.65 for chips and salsa when all I wanted was some extra green chile tomatilla sauce for my burrito. Seriously, are you kidding me?? Pro's Guacamole A+ Chicken Tender and Flavorful A+ Rice cooked to perfection!! Con's It's in Dania Crazy Long Lines No Queso with your chips Charge for everything I would skip going to Chipotle and instead take a drive down to Hallandale and get yourself a real burrito or Chimi from Surf Road Taco.

I am a regular here. Chipotle is my favorite fast food chain. The food at this location is fresh and flavorful. I have always admired the chain's sustainable, responsibly-farmed food concept. I always get a burrito bowl, but I have tried some of the other dishes, and they are great, too. You can eat pretty healthy here, as long as you don't get chips or sweetened drinks. Their guacamole is a great addition to almost any entree. I could go on and on about all the ways this location is so amazing, but I won't because that would be WAY too long. The lines are long sometimes, but everything moves so quickly that you most likely won't spend more than 10 minutes waiting to order. My only problem with them is that there is no uniform amount of each item that you get in a bowl. The amount you get varies depending on how much the server wants to give you. We have also had some issues with the attitudes of some of the employees, but overall they have been quite friendly and considering how fast that assembly line moves, they get the orders right 95% of the time, which is pretty amazing. I would highly recommend this location for lunch or dinner.

This place is a joke. Moe's Southwestern Grill has real vegetarian options... This place doesn't even have whole wheat tortillas

The food is great, the staff rude... I always go there because is the closest to me!!!! 80% Of the time there is a line, but well!!! The service is fast.

This is so far one of the best places to eat healthy and to get your money's worth I usually have the cantina bowl or a cantina bowl salad and it's awesome I love this place and one of my favorite place in South Florida.

  • Joyce M.

This is by far the best chipotle in the area. There is always a line because it is near a tourist area but they always hock up the bowls and burritos with plenty of toppings. We like it here and if you don't like waiting in the line just call it in! ;)

Ordered food online, showed up 10 minutes after the pickup time as food is always late here, no big deal. I get in and they haven't even started the order, but they had definitely started closing up even though it was 30 minutes before close. Employee in the back yelling about how he "f'ing cleaned that yesterday", 2 employees in the front trying on each other's shoes. Every visit here something is wrong, last time they ran out of chips, promised me I wasn't charged for it. I look on the receipt, I was charged for it and had to go back. Usually they run out of guac as well, not sure what needs to change here but they definitely need some major changes in management and staff here. Definitely won't be coming back to this location.

Worst chipotle ever!!! Horrible service, place is messy and food was disgusting!!! I got a burrito and I have to say hands down worst!!! The the ingredients were mushy, from the tomatoes to the burnt peppers everything was bad. Meat was really under cooked.

  • Cinammon C.

I used to love this place but lately since they change for new staff the service went super slow, the portions are ridiculous and if you asked to add more chicken they add two pieces ..... Seriously PLUS THEY MAKE ANGRY FACES.... Some tables are dirty....

  • Amanda M.

I do not caaaaaaaare if Chipotle is a chain, because it's so. darn. good. I got the salad bowl with wonderful corn, bean, chicken, onion, lettuce, cheese, and green sauce goodness. Also, if you want a lot of food for cheap, just get 2 tacos, I think it's less than 5 or 6 bucks and if you load a bunch of stuff on, it'll keep you full. Why only 4 stars? Because I just read McKayla M.'s review and she said they prepare everything like an assembly line and don't really listen to you. She's right now that I think of it. My mom ordered a salad too and they skipped right over the lettuce, putting a big pile o' beans at the bottom. They just looked at her stupidly when she said "umm... salad? can I have lettuce?". So I guess maybe they don't listen. woops! The foods still booty shakin' good.

Have been eating at this location for a year now: Chipotle's quality is simply top notch for its cost. Overall: quality of the food 5 stars, the portions 4.5, the staff deserves a 4.5 stars, with the exception of one or two individuals that I think no longer work there.

The Basic Bitch of Burritos. I hate Chipotle and this restaurant was my first experience. I tried to order a burrito with cheese, some sort of queso and to my utter disgust this "Mexican Restaurant" didn't offer any soft, spicy cheese. Really? Ok.... so I tried my best to order. I was there with my family and they had already ordered. I picked the least disgusting looking thing from their menu of veggie slop, what I call a Basic Bitch Burrito. It's just steak, rice, sour cream and shredded cheese in a cold tortilla. They were so busy they told us to sit and would bring my food. I sat and waited. About a half hour later they brought it out. I don't know HOW they managed to screw up so bad but my Basic Bitch Burrito somehow got decorated with those nasty slop veggies. I don't know if it was supposed to be onions, peppers, or what but it looked like boogers. I told the guy not to even put it down on the table. I told him, "take that directly into the back and throw it away, I won't eat it." He offered to bring me something else, I refused and left. I've never gone back and I never will. Disgusting.

I either order online or wait in line at this chipotle 2-3 times a week. I wrote a bad review about the chipotle in Davie figured it was only write to write a good review for the chipotle that gets it right! A few times something was missed in my orders but great customer service remedied the issue quickly. Delicious burritos, tacos & burrito bowls! Thanks for awesome guys!!

  • D Z.

I eat here for lunch at least once a week. It's ALWAYS packed so the orders are always rushed. As long as you know what you want (there are only a hand-full of option so it shouldn't be that hard) you will be in and out quick. at the end of the day the food is always on point!

We visited this Chipotle twice on our one night stay in Fort Lauderdale. Although it was one of a few restaurants within walking distance from our hotel, we returned because the food met of expectations of Chipotle. The place was crowded during the two times we visited and we took that as a positive sign.

If you can manage to go after the lunch rush you will have a better experience. This place gets packed and for good reason. The food is inexpensive and bountiful. I eat here at least once a week.

Had a good first experience. Close by to youfit which is great! Took about 6 minutes to get to a server and about 10 minutes to get the food but the line was pretty long. In all fairness I have never gone to a chipotle where the line is not long lol. They did a great job keeping the line moving and food was exactly what you should expect from a good chipotle burrito

    (4)
  • Sherry Z.

Not sure why this is a 3 star Chipotle... Stopped by after a day in Fort Lauderdale, and Chipotle is always comfort food. Service was great and attentive, and they even gave us an extra helping of guac. Overall, pleased with the atmosphere from a tourist!

Love it here! Quick and enjoyable.. Even when the lines are long I was not waiting for a long time at all!

Stopped by this Chipotle today with my husband, I was starving. Long line but it moved quickly. I ordered a steak burrito, sit down to enjoy what looked delicious only to find a long black hair that did not belong to me as soon as I unwrapped the foil. I bring it up to the counter, and ask for a manager. The "manager" comes over, I show him the hair and asked for my money back. He says "ok" with an attitude. Thats all. No apology. My husband and I left and he decided to finish his later, only to discover a hair in his also. This place is disgusting with poor management.

I've been to this location a couple of times, usually close to closing time as it's one of a few later dining options in the area. Unfortunately the customer service is consistently terrible. Most recently I arrived before they were scheduled to close and they were out of rice, fajita veggies, mild tomato salsa, and guacamole. The kicker is that there were at least 5-6 employees either in front of me in line or already eating, with plates piled high. There were several other paying customers in line behind me as well. Why wouldn't they wait until after they're closed so paying customers can get the food they came for? The person making my order even stopped in the middle of what she was doing to go make her own food! I won't be back.

Review about the service, not the FOOD! (Still Loving my Veggie Burrito!). Every Chipotle has a SYSTEM on how to work, One person takes care of the First dish. the second person does the "Meat", then Goes to the extras and at the end the cashier. This place was different. One guy can just serve the extra condiments half way and then walks back to the first section of making the burrito part. Then Another guy came to the extra condiments and ask the customer (AGAIN) what to have in their tacos. The cashier had to skip the customer and took care of me right aaway because I was getting Irritated and Desperate to Pay my food that was waiting for over 5 minutes!. Total Mess!.

    (2)
  • Troy I.

Try the veggie burrito (or your favorite) and you wont be hungry until dinner. The line may look long but it moves very quickly.

Better, I went to chipotle and had a much better experience I ordered the same stake quesadilla extra toasted chips and sour cream. The employ at the beginning of the line was very polite and I believe he was training a new kid. He asked what I wanted and took my order. The next employs in line made my food perfect. Even amount of meet perfect amount of cheese not to much not to little. When I arrived to the register the girl up front with glasses was quite pleasant she asked if I needed anything else. I said no thanks that's perfect and I asked to leave the quesadilla to cook a tad bit longer. She said no problem just let me know when to take it out. Another employ (a short haired blond girl) took it out early and she gave the quesadilla to the girl upfront with the glasses. The girl opened it and asked if this was toasted enuf I asked if she can toast a tad bit more she said no problem just let me know when you are ready. The girl with the glasses put the quesadilla back to grill. She asked me how much more longer you want me to leave it on, is 4 minutes fine. I said perfect. The blond girl took my quesadilla out again and it had only been in there for an extra minute. She gave it to the girl in the glasses again and I can tell the girl with the glasses was getting frustrated with the blond because she didn't ask her again to take out the quesadilla. I said, its fine don't worry about. She said, ok thank you. She packed my food in a bag and as she was putting my food in the bag she dropped my sour cream. The girl in the glasses was going to pick it up and put in my bag but another employ looked at me and told her give him a new sour cream. The food was good it seamed like a different atmosphere, the employs seemed very happy and we're pleased to serve.

Chipotle never disappoints. My new favorite food here is the quesadilla with peppers and onions and barbacoa meat. YUM! This particular location though I don't like. They prepare everything like an assembly line and don't really listen to you. Plus they skimp on stuff.

    (2)
  • Mark G.

Love the chain. This location not so much. As noted by many reviews, they won't listen.

    (3)

Food is great....made fresh great price and fast. The bottled water is a little over priced. Go for fountain water and add lemon

A few days ago I left a bad review for the location on 136th Street and explained that I should have just come to the one on Stirling because it was more efficient and cleaner. I am now at the Stirling road location in the middle of the lunch hour and although it is slammed the line is loving faster and the restaurant is so much cleaner. This is how a chipotle should be managed

As always, best Mexican food. This restaurant really gets busy in the evenings when the crowds from neighboring hotels swarm here for dinner. Ample parking outside..My only problem with all Chipotle is their food makers rush you through.

  • Rick V.

First time there. Looking for a quick lunch and saw this place. Had the chicken bowl with brown rice, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese and corn. It was OK but the toppings were very cold which were a bad contrast to the rest of the dish. If they were at least at room temp., they would not have chilled down the dish so badly. I would rather have the Tropichop at Pollo Tropical.

    (3)
  • Arly J.

This particular Chipotle is terrible and the week days the line is literally out the door. If you call in to place the order they disconnect the phone or let it ring to not take order. The staff is rude and they always seem to screw up the order regardless how many times they repeat it. Food is better at other chipotles.

    (1)
  • James C.

Very solid chipotle. I travel to the area often and get it once a trip. I have never been disappointed at this location.

    (4)
  • Shanene W.

I love the food, except there have been a few occasions where the rice was rock hard. Also they no longer cook the meat well done, the steak is always red n I swear I can taste the blood...turnoff. Other than that pretty good. Just ask for fresh rice.

i go for lunch alot with my coworker. we fax our order look for seats when we get their and pick up from the window. if we didnt we would never make it in and out within an hour. minus one of two incidents everyone that works their is great

  • Kyle B.

I eat a lot of Chipotle. I mean A LOT. This one in particular stuck out as the hands down worst. The staff was rude and clearly bothered that I was there to order. Very unfriendly and I had to wait for what seemed like forever for someone to come to the register once my food was made. Still tasted as good as Chipotle always does but the staff here is nothing short of terrible.

    (1)
  • Jimmi L.

You wait in line to order You wait in line to tell them what you want on your food You wait in line to pay. For some reason people at this location don't seem to Listen to your order. Someone needs to tell everyone behind the counter that the ones who are placing the order are the reason they are their! I just don't see all the wait to spend your money on A cheap $10 meal with a smug attitude!

    (1)
  • Kim A.

Love Chipotle! This location is usually super busy but the line moves people along at lightning speeds. I always get my food to go but if you are planning on eating here you may have to wait for a table.

    (5)
  • Poma Celeste T.

I think we were in line longer than it took us to eat our meal. Yes - longest line I've experienced at a Chipotle, most I've eaten at a Chipotle too! Coincidence??

  • Chip K.

Stopped by late at night after arriving at the Ft Lauderdale airport and staying at a hotel nearby. Food was good, what you expect from Chipotle. Service was fast and friendly, even with a long line. Only gripe I had was they had run out of guacamole, even with a huge line and an hour left until close, they were adamant about not making any more, so that drops it down to a 4 star.

    (4)
  • Cory F.

I used to love this place but I can't stand waiting in line. It's always running out the door. The staff is all kids that don't pay attention to your order and make the wait longer. I stopped going. Luckily theres a McDonalds across the street for people with less time and lower standards.

im so glad they finally open this place by my job, this is deff my once a week spot, i love their cilantro rice

This place may serve burritos, but it's not an old school greasy taco stand and you probably won't be satisfied if that's what you're craving. What you will find (and I'm addicted to) are semi-healthy fresh ingredients that create a simple menu of burritos, tacos, and salads (and quesadillas for the kiddies). I opt for the burrito bowl, which is what would happen if you dumped all the contents of the tortilla into a bowl. It's a rather simple concept. I also like the fajita veggies (red/green peppers and onions), and guacamole. To be warned, the guac is rather onion-y, but very tasty. I've had the chicken at other locations, but have stuck to veggie since it includes guacamole and I don't miss the meat. I've visited this location a few times since it's opening this fall and the service has always been friendly, and I love how fast it takes to get your food. They make it in front of you as you order so the lines may sometimes get long, but there's no waiting for your food to be delivered to your table or to be picked up at the counter. Oh, and a favorite feature of The Boy's - they have Coke Zero in addition to regular and diet Coke.

  • Janine R.

Man is this place a gold mine! Came here during lunch and the place was bursting at the seams with people. The line to order was practically out the door. Thankfully, we had phoned in our order. I love Chipotle, their burritos and salad bowls are awesome. It's cheap, fast and not super fatty. If you're in a hurry definitely call in your order ahead of time during lunch hours.

    (4)
  • Christopher H.

First off I love Chipotle. So this review is about this location. It always packed at this location and I am not sure if it is due to the amount of customers or the fact that the always seem to have either a new person working the food line or someone who doesn't speak english. It happens every time I come to this location. I still love Chipotle so I put up with it. Maybe I need to find a better location.

    (3)
  • Stuart G.

One of the better Burritos in the Area. Main drawback is the line out the door. And the temperature of the Pico de gallo and sour cream which is like and iceberg floating in warm food!. how they keep it that cold without freezing is beyond me!

    (3)
  • Errick F.

Really good but i couldn't call it tex mex. It's more Caribbean/Cuban/Mex. although it a fast food place it looks like a lot of prep goes into the food with the pork and roasted beef. i want one here in Southeast la. this will give a lot of the local mex places a run for the money. one of the main things i likes about it was the rice in the menu. Its not you typical spanish rice cooked in the red sauce. its white rice mixed with cilantro and lime juice. very interesting taste because it lets the meat flavor and other choices come out. i got to see if theres one closer to me. or make my own. either way you see one take the opportunity. im only giving it four stars cause its limited seating. the place is so popular that it shoulds accommodate more folks inside. other than that keep up the good work

    (4)
  • Mike H.

I've eaten here 6 times in the past 4 weeks. I'm stuck in the hotel next door. The food is the same as any chipotle I've ever been in. Reason for 3 stars is this place is always busy due to the number of hotels and businesses nearby and there isn't enough seating in this particular Chipotle.

    (3)
  • Ingrid B.

I like Chipotle. The food is good - my favorite is the Sofrito Bowl which is made with seasoned tofu. But meat lovers don't worry. There are several non veggie choices. Today my visit stood out because of the service. The lemonade dispenser wasn't working. I asked an employee who fixed it right away and followed up with me to make sure I got the drink I wanted. He even brought me some extra chips. Customer service training is an obvious low priority at so many restaurants. Chipotle stands above the rest in the quick delicious restaurant world.

    (5)
  • Emmy S.

We never got to try the food..... So I can't rate it but I can rate the customer service..... It's horrible! The girl cleaning uses a used towel and cross contaminant everything instead of lifting the trays and cleaning properly..... The managers can check the cameras.... Your staff needs educating..... And as for the boy who's just doing his job your job is not to have your customers waiting while you take everyone's order and just leave the tray of food sitting there.

    (1)
  • Danny T.

Why 3 stars? Because it's a Chipotle.. you know what you are getting yourself into, decent food.. but not authentic Mexican. The problem with this Chipotle is that it's way too crowded, even not during dinner rush hours... Also, the staff was not that friendly, at least the girl at the register taking your money... she does it as if she owns it.

    (3)
  • Geneva B.

The food is decent. In that particular area, it's the only restaurant I'd eat at really. I only stop there if I'm hungry and I know it'll be a while before I get home. However, there are a few things I noticed about this establishment that prompted me to give only a 3-stars. Even if the line is long, they are pretty quick, which in most cases is a good thing, but they seem to lack customer service or friendliness. It's as if getting to the next customer is more important than giving attention to the customer in front of them. The other thing I noticed is, they are really skimpy with the portions of meat. If I'm paying $14 for a burrito bowl, I want a decent portion of meat.

  • Barb B.

I've enjoyed Chipotle for some time now but came to this location specifically because I was in the area. I only had 45min to go out to lunch, get it and come back so was pressed for time. Once I arrived there were about 20 people waiting in line (no joke) but it was moving so fast. I was literally in/out in 6minutes. I know the time because I'd just sent out a text and couldn't believe how fast everything took so I checked the time when I came out. The staff was SO FAST! The food, so fresh. Couldn't ask for anything more! Keep up the great work Chipotle.

Me and my co worker love chipotle always solid. It was really busy this time however and they made my burrito all sloppy and put the wrong salsa and just rushed me through. it was kind of rude and annoying but I get it. I've BEAN there before. When it got down the assembly line they said LETTUCE remake it. So that was cool.. It was the RICE thing to do. I would come back.. In QUESA you were wondering.

  • Rachel S.

I've been here a number of times. Each time I come here I am amazed at the wonderful attitude of the people who work here. They're always super friendly and very patient. I usually get the pinto or black bean burritos. This time I tried the Sofritas. I was utterly impressed. After the first bite I could not believe that there was no meat. The flavors were so vibrant and the texture was exactly like ground beef. Combining it with my usual favorites: pinto beans lettuce salsa and other goodies, I enjoyed every bite. I also enjoyed my fountain drink with fresh lemons which were fully stocked. This restaurant is always kept clean as well. Understandably they are always crowded, but the lines moving quickly because the staff there are all working and help each other out

I'm a fan of chipotle but this particular restaurant is possibly the worst I've been to. I've frequented this location probably a dozen times and at best my experience has been mediocre. I will not be coming here anymore after today and here's why: I ordered a carnitas bowl with black beans and what I got was black bean soup. The audacity to serve the remnants of the bottom of the pan is reprehensible. And on top of that she served the same thing to the two guests behind me. This experience plus other times having been overcharged, receiving poor customer service, and having my order improperly made has deterred me to ever coming to this location again. I guess just because they have large volumes of people coming through that it's all about the quantity and not the quality, and here I thought the latter was what they're all about.

We visited this Chipotle twice on our one night stay in Fort Lauderdale. Although it was one of a few restaurants within walking distance from our hotel, we returned because the food met of expectations of Chipotle. The place was crowded during the two times we visited and we took that as a positive sign.

If you can manage to go after the lunch rush you will have a better experience. This place gets packed and for good reason. The food is inexpensive and bountiful. I eat here at least once a week.

This is so far one of the best places to eat healthy and to get your money's worth I usually have the cantina bowl or a cantina bowl salad and it's awesome I love this place and one of my favorite place in South Florida.

Have been eating at this location for a year now: Chipotle's quality is simply top notch for its cost. Overall: quality of the food 5 stars, the portions 4.5, the staff deserves a 4.5 stars, with the exception of one or two individuals that I think no longer work there.

  • Sherry Z.

Not sure why this is a 3 star Chipotle... Stopped by after a day in Fort Lauderdale, and Chipotle is always comfort food. Service was great and attentive, and they even gave us an extra helping of guac. Overall, pleased with the atmosphere from a tourist!

Disgusting.

I eat here for lunch at least once a week. It's ALWAYS packed so the orders are always rushed. As long as you know what you want (there are only a hand-full of option so it shouldn't be that hard) you will be in and out quick. at the end of the day the food is always on point!

I love the food, except there have been a few occasions where the rice was rock hard. Also they no longer cook the meat well done, the steak is always red n I swear I can taste the blood...turnoff. Other than that pretty good. Just ask for fresh rice.

Chipotle never disappoints. My new favorite food here is the quesadilla with peppers and onions and barbacoa meat. YUM! This particular location though I don't like. They prepare everything like an assembly line and don't really listen to you. Plus they skimp on stuff.

As always, best Mexican food. This restaurant really gets busy in the evenings when the crowds from neighboring hotels swarm here for dinner. Ample parking outside..My only problem with all Chipotle is their food makers rush you through.

This particular Chipotle is terrible and the week days the line is literally out the door. If you call in to place the order they disconnect the phone or let it ring to not take order. The staff is rude and they always seem to screw up the order regardless how many times they repeat it. Food is better at other chipotles.

I think we were in line longer than it took us to eat our meal. Yes - longest line I've experienced at a Chipotle, most I've eaten at a Chipotle too! Coincidence??

Stopped by late at night after arriving at the Ft Lauderdale airport and staying at a hotel nearby. Food was good, what you expect from Chipotle. Service was fast and friendly, even with a long line. Only gripe I had was they had run out of guacamole, even with a huge line and an hour left until close, they were adamant about not making any more, so that drops it down to a 4 star.

One of the better Burritos in the Area. Main drawback is the line out the door. And the temperature of the Pico de gallo and sour cream which is like and iceberg floating in warm food!. how they keep it that cold without freezing is beyond me!

I used to love this place but I can't stand waiting in line. It's always running out the door. The staff is all kids that don't pay attention to your order and make the wait longer. I stopped going. Luckily theres a McDonalds across the street for people with less time and lower standards.

Worst chipotle ever!!! Horrible service, place is messy and food was disgusting!!! I got a burrito and I have to say hands down worst!!! The the ingredients were mushy, from the tomatoes to the burnt peppers everything was bad. Meat was really under cooked.

THIS PLACE ALWAYS RUNS OUT OF STUFF!!!!!! So infuriating. Guac, tortilla, etc. 4 out of 5 times, they've been out of something.

This is so far one of the best places to eat healthy and to get your money's worth I usually have the cantina bowl or a cantina bowl salad and it's awesome I love this place and one of my favorite place in South Florida.

Great chipotle location with friendly staff and very fast service. Even huge lines move really fast here.

I used to love this place but lately since they change for new staff the service went super slow, the portions are ridiculous and if you asked to add more chicken they add two pieces ..... Seriously PLUS THEY MAKE ANGRY FACES.... Some tables are dirty....

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
